Landowner Resources - Equipment Available to Rent
The following equipment is available for establishment of vegetative cover for natural resource conservation practices. Equipment is not available to rent for profit (commercial) oriented projects. Email Todd Hansen for inquiries or reservations or call 641-423-5309.
Conservation Board Private Lands Assistance Policy
Truax No-Till Seed Drill
Uses: Native prairie vegetation, Waterways and buffer strips, Wildlife food plots- Size: 10.5 ft. wide (8 ft. planting width)
- Equipment required:
- Truck or tractor with flat bar receiver for transport
- Tractor - 50 Hp min with 1 pair Pioneer IOS hose fittings
- Fees: $25 plus $10/Acre and $100 refundable deposit
Dew Drop Seeder
Uses: Native prairie vegetation, Waterways and buffer strips, Wildlife food plots- Size: 5 ft. wide (3 ft. planting width)
- Equipment required:
- Truck & trailer (at least 5' X 8') for transport
- Utility tractor or ATV - 350 CC min with 1 7/8" hitch ball
- Fees: $25 plus $10/Acre

Uses: Small prairies, Butterfly gardens, Small wildlife food plots- Size: Handheld
