Engineer and Secondary Roads

Department Alert

***DUST CONTROL REMINDER***

.

Due to the recent heavy rainfall, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of dust control areas requiring maintenance such as blading and grading. Cerro Gordo County reserves the right to conduct routine road maintenance—including blading and granular resurfacing—through dust control sections as needed to correct rough or uneven surfaces. This maintenance may occur without compensation for the cost of any dust control treatments previously applied.

.

When possible, we minimize disruption by using only a pick to preserve the chlorided surface. If blading is necessary, we make every effort to confine it to the chlorided area to conserve the applied material.

.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep our roads safe and passable for all travelers.
