In 2013, the Office of the Governor of the State of Iowa, launched a public/private partnership called Home Base Iowa. Home Base Iowa connects Iowa businesses with qualified veterans and their spouses looking for career opportunities. The program also provides resources to help connect veterans and their families, with educational and transitioning resources, when relocating to a new community.
Home Base Iowa - Cerro Gordo County
Relocation Incentive Package:
- Up to $1,000 in relocation assistance for veterans moving to Cerro Gordo County, Iowa.
- A gift basket filled with local magazines, brochures, donated items from businesses, upcoming veteran's events, a list of local veteran owned business, and veteran's discounts.
- A gift card from the Cerro Gordo County Veteran Affairs Office
Eligibility
Eligible applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a discharged veteran under honorable conditions (DD214 will need to be provided)
- Provide proof of full-time employment in Cerro Gordo County
- Apply for the relocation program with the Cerro Gordo Veteran Affairs Office.
