Welcome to Cerro Gordo County's new website!
We're excited to unveil a new site focused on user experience and mobile navigation. The site includes several key improvements to assist county residents, business owners, and visitors.
Powerful Search
Looking for something specific? Our new, improved search tool is here to help! Click on the search icon in the top right of every page of the site for quick access to an instant search tool. The site search will show immediate results based on the search term matching page titles, descriptions, and keywords; FAQs; or our staff directory. Clicking "search" will bring up a full search results page of matches in case the visitor needs to see more results.
Homepage Highlights
The site's new modern design is on full display on the homepage where users will find quick access to key site pages. Quick links showcase six of our most visited pages and can be changed as needed based on county services and public needs.
Below quick links on the homepage, site visitors will find a list of upcoming events, including Board of Supervisors meetings, Conservation events, Sheriff Sales, and holiday closures. Holiday closures can also be viewed at any time from the website footer under "Courthouse Hours" or from each department's page under "Hours." Beneath events, the homepage highlights news from county departments, as well as any current job openings.
Our News and Announcements section of the homepage displays the latest news stories from our departments, along with any recent job postings. Stay connected with county happenings by visiting us often for the latest updates or by subscribing with e-Notifications.
e-Notifications
e-Notifications have received an upgrade with a cleaner integration to our website, making it easier for our team to send out notifications to the public. With the new system, citizens can subscribe to receive email notifications for alerts, bid notices, jobs, news, meeting agendas, and more. Subscribers can opt-in to only the reminders/notifications that are relevant to them.
Department & Service Directory
Our department directory has been updated to include a breakdown of services offered by that department to help site visitors quickly navigate to the specific page they need. Contact information for each department is also added in case the user would prefer to contact the department directly by phone. A search feature allows users to quickly search by department or service.
Sitewide & Department Alerts
Our new site also provides our team with the ability to post sitewide alerts (a red banner appears at the top of the website to communicate important messaging to site visitors) and department alerts (a red banner that only appears on a department's pages). Keep an eye out for these messages for important communications about closures, events, and changes of services or hours.

Residents can quickly find answers to their questions with our new FAQ. Access FAQs on each department page or search through all department questions and answers on our overall county FAQ page.
