The Cerro Gordo County Privacy Officer oversees the protection of health information for Cerro Gordo County departments that serve either as a health plan or health care provider under the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
The Privacy Officer is responsible for oversight and implementation of the county’s privacy practices and procedures. Please contact the County’s Privacy Officer if you believe that health information held by the county has been released or if you have questions about how the county handles your health information.
